About the Role

Fairvest Companies is growing and we're looking for a Senior Operations & Project Manager to help lead it. This isn't a corporate role — it's a field-forward position for someone who knows how to run jobs, manage subs, and communicate with clients without needing to be managed through any of it.

You'll be a key part of building Fairvest's operational infrastructure from early on. The work is real, the accountability is real, and if you perform, the opportunity is real.

What You'll Do

  • Manage restoration, reconstruction, renovation, and maintenance projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors — set expectations, hold schedules, hold quality standards
  • Serve as primary point of contact for property managers and owners throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct site assessments and contribute to scoping and estimating processes
  • Liaise with insurance adjusters and carriers on reconstruction and claim-related work
  • Maintain project documentation, photo documentation, and reporting standards
  • Identify issues early, communicate them clearly, and solve them without being prompted
  • Help build Fairvest's operational systems and processes as the company scales

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of project management or field operations experience in restoration, construction, or property services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and subcontractors without hand-holding
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and on-site with clients and crews
  • Familiarity with insurance restoration processes and Xactimate is a strong plus
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation — company vehicle provided
  • Someone who leads from the front, not from behind a desk
  • Chicagoland-based or willing to relocate

  • Operate and maintain restoration equipment — extractors, air movers, dehumidifiers, negative air machines
  • Maintain thorough job documentation including photo documentation, moisture readings, and daily progress reports
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for property managers, building owners, and occupants
  • Ensure all work is performed to IICRC standards and Fairvest quality expectations
  • Communicate job status and issues clearly to project management
  • Identify problems early and solve them without waiting to be asked

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in water mitigation, fire damage restoration, or mold remediation
